Chairman and CEO of British Airways, Alex Cruz, has been confirmed as the latest speaker to join the incredible line-up that will take to the stage during the Buy Yorkshire Conference on Tuesday 15 May.
With more than 4,000 delegates expected to attend the one-day event, Alex will address the audience to discuss the importance of innovation and digital technology in the aviation industry and what customers can expect from BA as it puts its investment plans in place for the next five years.
With a career in aviation spanning more than two decades, Alex will share his story and why he took on the exciting challenge of running British Airways in 2016.
Alex comments: “This is a hugely exciting time to work in the aviation industry, and one which presents us with a fantastic opportunity to innovate and use digital technology to provide new and improved services for our customers.
“With increasing competition, we know that we need to keep transforming what we do to make sure we’re always airline of choice. We are, and will always be, a premium airline, focused on offering a range of fares to suit all budgets, with thousands of European flights on sale from £30 each way. For customers who want more, we offer flexible tickets and business class on all our flights, which is why we continue to out-class the competition.
“I’m looking forward to sharing my vision of how an iconic British brand – which incidentally celebrates its centenary next year – can lead the way in innovation.”
With a full schedule of speakers, Alex will join Chair at the National College of High Speed Rail, Alison Munro; Market Lead at Uber Eats, Emilio Zunnino; entrepreneur, Gerald Ratner and Head of Digital Communications at Number 10 Downing Street, Chris Hamilton.
As well as more than 4,000 delegates, the event will welcome 200 exhibitors, more than 20 speakers and a full programme of seminars, panels and workshops. For more information about Buy Yorkshire and the latest announcements please visit, www.buyyorkshire.com or follow @BuyYorkshire.
