Hull-based 360 Chartered Accountants is putting on its first ever careers evening to help not only those considering a career in finance, but anyone who needs careers advice.
The event, which takes place on Monday 12th February at the firm’s Albion Street headquarters between 4 and 7pm, will also showcase new opportunities for apprenticeships starting in September 2024 in the 360 accountancy and outsourcing team as well as other job openings.
Andy Steele, Founder of 360, said that previously, applications for the 360 apprenticeship programme have come mainly from West Hull villages and they would like to see applications from the whole of the city, including east of Hull.
“We feel there are parts of the city we have not tapped into historically and we hope that by having this event in the city centre we will get in front of people from other parts of the city.
“You might be finishing college or looking at changing your career. You might be part-way down your accountancy journey and looking for a new opportunity. Whatever stage you’re at, this careers evening is for you.”
On hand to give expert advice will be a mix of directors, managers, current apprentices and those finished with their apprenticeship – including Sophie Holmes who started her career as an apprentice and now sits on the 360 Board of Directors. Andy Steele continued:
“We are also happy to speak to organisations who give careers advice as well as careers advisors in schools. If they want to find out more about apprenticeships, the subjects students need to take and so on, we’d love for them to come along too.
“The more people spreading the word about how brilliant the world of accountancy and finance is, the better. Our careers evening, though, is not just for those interested in a career in accountancy. If people don’t know what they want to do and would like some direction and help with their CV, our HR Director will be there to give advice and guidance, no matter what sector you are interested in.”
