Belmayne names four foundation charities

Dronfield-based financial planners, Belmayne, are pledging their support to four local charities, who will benefit from the firm’s fundraising efforts this year.

All money raised by the Belmayne Foundation in 2020 will be split equally between FareShare Yorkshire, Pathways of Chesterfield, Nenna Kind and Helen’s Trust.

The independent firm established its own foundation last year, to raise funds for small charities who support health and wellbeing and provide relief for those in need. In its first 12 months, £11,000 was donated to its chosen organisations.

Belmayne’s principal fundraiser will be its annual ball, held at Sheffield’s Crown Plaza Royal Victoria on April 25. The event is fully funded by the firm, so all money raised from ticket sales and activities on the night will benefit the foundation’s charities. The evening will include a three-course meal, bottle of wine per couple, a prize auction and music by renowned local entertainer, Stephen Bayliss.

Ben Smalley, Belmayne partner and a trustee of the foundation, said: “We had a really hard task narrowing down the charities to just four. We wanted to select ones who offer very different services, but rely heavily on donations to survive, which is where we can make a real impact. Our inaugural ball raised in excess of £8,000 and this year, we are aiming to better this total, with the help of our friends, clients and local residents.”

FareShare Yorkshire helps tackle food poverty, distributing surplus goods across the region, whilst Pathways of Chesterfield is the town’s only centre providing services to the homeless. Nenna Kind is a volunteer-run base from which local cancer patients can access advice and alternative therapies and Bakewell-based Helen’s Trust provides home support and care for people with terminal illnesses.

Everyone is welcome to attend Belmayne’s charity ball. Tickets cost £50 per head or £600 for a table of 12. For more information about the event and the work of the foundation, telephone (01246) 298181, visit www.belmayne-ifa.com/charity or follow the firm on Twitter, @belmayneifa.
