BGES sponsors a snowflake to raise funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital

Leading independent BMS and energy solutions company BGES is supporting The Children’s Hospital Charity’s famous snowflake appeal this year.

A highlight of the festive season for many, the award-winning snowflake display has raised over £1m for Sheffield Children’s Hospital since 2013.

In return for pledging to raise funds, Dinnington-based BGES will see their snowflake sparkle on one of several local landmark sites, including Sheffield Children’s, the Becton Centre for Children and Young People, Sheffield City Centre and Crystal Peaks Shopping Centre.

Sheffield Children’s holds a special place in the hearts of several BGES staff members, whose families have benefitted from the excellent care given at the hospital.

This year’s display will support the hospital where it is needed most, including with the £2.75M redevelopment of its Cancer and Leukaemia ward.
Gareth Barber, Managing Director, BGES comments:

“Supporting our local community is really important to us, never more so than in these difficult times. So we’re incredibly proud to be sponsoring a snowflake this year for the fantastic Sheffield Children’s Hospital – and in doing so helping to build a better future for staff, patients and their families.”

Chloë Brunton-Dunn, Corporate Partnerships Assistant at The Children’s Hospital Charity comments:

“We would like to say a huge thank you to the team at BG Energy Solutions for supporting the snowflake appeal at Sheffield Children’s Hospital this Christmas. The snowflakes are a highlight for staff working over the festive season and for the young patients spending their Christmas in hospital. Every penny raised makes a huge difference and we couldn’t be more grateful for your support.”
