Bradford engineering firm completes double acquisition

Ormandy Rycroft Engineering in Bradford

Bradford-based Ormandy Rycroft Engineering (Ormandy) has completed the acquisition of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions provider HRS Hevac Ltd (Hevac) and plates and gaskets supplier HeatExchangerSpares.com (HES) from Canadian heat exchanger manufacturer Exchanger Industries Ltd (EIL).

HES’s site in Watford (UK) will continue operations while employees from its Elland (UK) facility will transfer to Ormandy’s manufacturing site, just under 12 miles away in Bradford.

David Dzimitrowicz, managing director of Ormandy, said: “Both Hevac and HES are established names in the HVAC industry, with strong reputations for supplying quality systems and spares for commercial and public buildings around the world.

“The acquisitions expand our product range while allowing us to leverage the full potential of our manufacturing facility in Bradford. Both Ormandy and HRS have excellent reputations for bespoke design and manufacturing for water-heating, -cooling and -storage solutions. ”

Austen Adams, divisional managing director of Avingtrans PLC’s Process Solution and Rotating Equipment division, which owns Ormandy, added: “We are delighted to have completed these acquisitions, which will strengthen Ormandy’s offer as a leading provider of offsite and heat exchange solutions to commercial and industrial customers around the world.

“As a great British manufacturer, – and one of the only companies in the UK capable of manufacturing copper and copper-lined vessels – Ormandy enjoys a unique position in the market. We are confident that, through these acquisitions, we will not only be able to take greater control of the supply chain but can also release untapped potential in the market to further strengthen our position.”
