BrandLink Golf Wins Northern Enterprise Award for Work with Leeds Based Homeless Charity

BrandLink Golf has been named Best Nationwide Golf Event Organisers 2021 in the Northern Enterprise Awards, recognising their full-service approach to event organising and their outstanding work on behalf of various charities in the wake of the Covid pandemic.

Established in 2017 by Leeds based entrepreneur Andy Broughton, BrandLink Golf has built up an enviable list of clients for its golf events, including Leeds United Foundation, Super League teams Huddersfield Giants, Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers, and corporate multinationals like FedEx and DHL. But it was their post lockdown work with Leeds based charity Simon on the Streets that particularly caught the Northern Enterprise Awards’ judge’s eye.

“We first worked with Simon on the Streets in 2020, running a charity golf day that was unfortunately affected by the autumn lockdown,” explained Andy Broughton, Founder of BrandLink Golf. “Despite this, the charity still raised funds from the event and having proven the concept under difficult circumstances we came back bigger and better in 2021 with a charity golf day at Leeds Golf Centre.”

“We took control of the whole fundraising event, freeing up the team at the charity to concentrate on their work. We curated the experience from start to finish, including golf competitions, all hospitality, bespoke gifts and branding along with a number of creative ways for guests to donate to the fundraising total.”

“The day itself was a huge success, and we then followed it up by raffling a bespoke branded golf trolley from our partners ProCaddie in the colours of Leeds United. It’s been a real pleasure working with the team at Simon on the Streets and we’re delighted to have made a big impact on their fundraising. So much so we’ve already been invited to run the third Simon on the Streets golf day in 2022.”

“A golf day can be an incredibly powerful tool, but to make it worthwhile, there are a lot of moving parts that you need to get right,” continued Andy. “Whether it’s for a multi-national corporate partner or a small local charity, our job is to create a unique experience that truly represents the client. We ensure the event delivers on the client’s goals and we take all the stress out of the event. 90% of our golf event business comes through personal recommendation and that’s because we make sure that our customer service, our focus on the client’s needs and our attention to detail is second to none.”

“With years of event planning experience in the team, plus in-house access to customised golf clothing, equipment and accessories, we can deliver a complete package for our clients without the stress of involving any outside contractors. We’ve brought together a series of complementary products and services and a fantastic team of people all under one roof. I’m incredibly proud that our ability to convert that infrastructure into unique, high quality golf events has been recognised, and hope this award helps us take the next steps in the growth of the business.”

BrandLink is targeting continued growth in its B2B and B2C sales of premium golf products brands Procaddie, Pitchfix, Nilsson Golf and Kannaway for 2022. But with a great start to the year on the events side of the business, and several local charities benefitting from that growth, Andy is keen to keep the momentum going.

Andy concludes, “Winning the prestigious title of Best Nationwide Golf Event Organisers 2021 in the Northern Enterprise Awards is a great start to the New Year. Our plans moving into 2022 are to focus more on corporate golf days whilst maintaining our relationships with the various charities we work with both on and off the golf course. If we can create amazing events and help raise a lot of money for fantastic causes, 2022 will be a huge success.”
