Faire Marketing launches due to gap in market

East Yorkshire-based entrepreneur Michelle Millar launched Faire Marketing at the end of 2020 after finding a gap in the market for local marketing support.

She’s now aiming to help local small and medium-sized enterprises with their digital marketing.

Michelle set about creating the business at the end of last year, after an extended period of working from home for a creative agency. Realising that long-established buying habits were evolving, with more people researching and buying online, she saw an opportunity to help local businesses maximise this by improving their digital marketing. Its services include marketing strategy, digital advertising, content writing and reporting.

2020 was a record year for new companies created, and many of the new small businesses won’t have the capacity or knowledge to carry out digital marketing.

Founder, Michelle said, “I could see a gap in the market for local marketing support. Marketing shouldn’t just be for the big companies who can afford to experiment. Priced out by agency fees, SMEs often end up running their own marketing in-house – or in some cases, not at all.

“With over a decade in marketing, I’m aiming to use that experience to help these companies think creatively and focus on the channels that work for them. There’s a great opportunity to extend your reach – more so than normal because of the current situation.”

Based in Howden, East Yorkshire, Michelle Millar previously worked in marketing management at a creative agency for over six years, and before that in international marketing for a large West Yorkshire educational institution.
