Free International Coaching Support as Businesses Bounce Back

International Coaching Week, the annual week-long celebration and promotion of the coaching profession, takes place Monday 17th to Friday 21st May and Coaching York has put together an impressive line-up for this free event.

The event is now in its eighth year with the aim of sharing the benefits of coaching to a wide audience, including those unfamiliar with coaching. This year’s date coincides with the proposed re-opening of many business sectors as Lockdown 3.0 continues to ease. Most of the sessions are online and free to attend for all businesses and organisations in York, North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, and West Yorkshire.

Co-Chair of Coaching York, Geoff Ashton, said: “Coaching York is hosting a total of 14 free events as part of International Coaching Week. The aim is to support organisations in Yorkshire and beyond with their bounce back after Lockdown 3.0. Businesses, charities, and public sector bodies can access innovative tools and techniques so they can deliver their products and services in a recovering economy. Presenters include local, national, and international experts in motivation, coaching, wellbeing, team building and eco-leadership, delivering 12 online events and two outdoor events: Covid-safe Coaching With Horses and a Coaching Walk in the Museum Gardens.”

Mr Ashton continued: “There are no established experts navigating global pandemics. We needed new thinking to take us through the Lockdowns and we now need to develop new thinking to work in a post-lockdown world. The professional coaches in the Coaching York network have been supporting organisations to manage the uncertainties of the pandemic over the past year. The same skills in adapting to change and preparing for future shocks are just as vital as we move forward.”

“Mr Ashton concluded: Over the last eight years, Coaching York has consistently run more events over International Coaching Week than any other city in the world. We are pleased to be able to continue in that tradition of putting Yorkshire on the coaching map.”
