HR firm launches new model to help employers

HR Growth Model created by Humber HR People

Hull and Kirmington-based Humber HR People has developed an innovative Human Resources (HR) performance auditing tool designed to transform the way companies assess and enhance their HR practices.

Managing Partner of Humber HR People, Kate van der Sluis, explained: “We analysed the work we have done over the past five years with over 100 small to medium-sized businesses. We looked at the aspects of HR that help companies to create happier and healthier workforces and saw a correlation with the profitability of those companies.

“By pulling everything together in one place, we have an efficient and effective way of helping companies audit how they are measuring up in six core areas. We can then identify the steps they need to improve and provide a tailored action plan.”

Whilst all companies need to achieve basic compliance with employment law, Humber HR People is keen to get employers away from just ticking boxes. By auditing a company against six core areas, the new model helps businesses to benchmark the kind of employer they aspire to be.

The Growth HR Model™ allows an organisation to achieve one of three levels – Fair Employer, Good Employer or Growth Employer.

Each level corresponds with recognised industry accreditations from meeting best practices as set out by ACAS to ISO9001.

The cutting-edge Growth HR Model™ benchmarks organisations against six core elements of good HR practice and compliance.

These core elements contribute towards positive company culture, which results in a more engaged workforce and higher productivity.

Following the audit, each company receives a tailored roadmap for HR improvement. The roadmap encompasses strategic guidance, personalised action plans, and resources to address specific challenges and seize opportunities for growth.

By achieving recognised certifications and embracing HR best practices, local businesses enhance their competitiveness, attract top talent, and build a positive reputation within their industry and community.

In a world where attracting and retaining top talent is a challenge for businesses of all sizes, the importance of effective HR practices cannot be overstated. Humber HR People believe the implementation of their Growth HR Model™ will be a game-changer for local companies seeking to thrive in today’s competitive marketplace.

Humber HR People won the top independent HR consultancy award in the High Growth category at the 2022 HRi Awards and HR Consultancy of the Year 2022 – Yorkshire at the Northern Enterprise Awards.
