Huddersfield business reaps benefits of Help to Grow programme

Huddersfield-based cleaning company, Monty Miracle, has secured a deal with one of the top premier league football clubs in North London following the completion of a 12-week government-backed management course.

Specialising in providing top-quality patio and driveway cleaning products designed for both domestic and trade applications, Associate Director of Monty Miracle, Peter Beaumont, participated in Huddersfield Business School’s Help to Grow programme because he felt the time was right to propel his organisation into expansion and growth.

The Help to Grow programme is a 12-week government-backed management course designed to support senior managers of small and medium-sized businesses to boost their business performance, resilience, and long-term growth.

Peter, who took part in 12 modules on Huddersfield Business School’s Help to Grow programme, discusses the organisation’s success as a result of taking part in the course: “The marketing module has been a particularly huge help. Since completing the Help to Grow programme, we’ve been concentrating on marketing, and we’ve seen a huge uplift in growth off the back of this.

“The marketing module showed me a different way to approach things, particularly social media. People need to see our product in action to see how good it is – the reaction we’ve had to our video content has been dramatic – we’ve seen a 362% increase in growth already this year.”

Since implementing a digital marketing strategy off the back of insights gained from the marketing module, Monty Miracle has gained 120,000 TikTok followers in three months and, as a result, established a TikTok shop to take advantage of its new audience.

Peter continues: “We are looking at recruiting new staff within our digital marketing team and have already recruited a Head of Sales to develop and nurture leads. This role has enabled us to secure a deal with one of London’s top Premier League football clubs to supply our products. Additionally, we have been named one of the 2023 SME UK Enterprise Award Winners!

Stella Bowdell, Help to Grow Programme Lead, comments: “It’s always such a delight to hear the success stories of businesses who have participated in our programme. We’re really proud to have a dedicated team that helps deliver the course, and it’s great when we see their hard work come to fruition through the growth of the businesses we’ve mentored. Mid-September, we welcomed our fifth cohort, and look forward to welcoming our sixth cohort in February 2024.”
