Marketing comms agency scales up with several new client wins

Sheffield-based marketing communications agency, Scala, is celebrating after winning several new contracts, as they continue to expand their team and specialist offer in the legal and healthcare sectors.

Their roster of clientele now includes Kain Knight, STEPS Prosthetics and Inspire Legal Group. The team also represent individual Barristers and QCs as well as Barristers’ Chambers throughout the UK.

Scala is also in the running for a number of marketing awards, with nominations in both The British Business Awards 2022 and Prolific North Marketing Awards for their work campaigning for the appointment of an Independent Review to take place by Donna Ockenden (Senior Midwifery Adviser to the Chief Executive of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), after headline grabbing news about the maternity scandal at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust.

Scala provided PR support and guidance to the families of those affected and their legal team, as they told their stories to media outlets including BBC News, ITV News, Sky and Channel 4.

The campaign, which the company has been involved in for many years, instigated an independent review of maternity services at the highest levels of Government, to expose deep-rooted issues surrounding maternity care, which led to several baby deaths and serious injuries to babies and mothers.

Natalie Rodgers, a non-practising solicitor and Managing Director, founded Scala in 2009 and advises in some of the country’s most high-profile legal cases in the media, particularly those with a political campaign element.

Natalie says: “Our specialist knowledge in the clinical negligence, healthcare and legal sectors has positioned us as the go-to marketing comms agency when dealing with highly sensitive and high-profile media cases. We are seeing significant growth in enquiries for our PR and marketing communications services in 2022, which has given us confidence to employ more staff to strengthen our team.

We truly care about the people we represent, guiding them through some of toughest times they may ever face. Our campaigns change lives for the better at the highest level, and we remain committed to offering the best possible service to existing and new clients alike”.
