Niche Marketing and PR consultancy, Scala, has welcomed two new additions to its team following a successful year of significant growth. Christian Abbott and Jake Bestwick have joined the fast-expanding team as a PR Executive and Digital Marketing Executive, respectively.

Over the past 2 years Scala has implemented a business plan that has seen them secure several new high-profile clients and increase visibility in the injury law market. Turnover during this period has increased by 111% and profits have been reinvested back into the company on new staff hires, internal training, and expansion of services.

Scala’s Managing Director and Founder, Natalie Rodgers, says, “The appointment of Christian and Jake reflects our continued growth and development, both internally and with our expanding client base.

Our PR services are a growth area for the business, particularly following our involvement in major stories included the sentencing of child serial killer Lucy Letby and the ongoing maternity scandals. Christian’s background in digital PR, alongside three years’ experience as a journalist within Reach PLC, writing for national newspapers, makes him a highly skilled copywriter and interviewer who has a keen eye for detail that will prove essential for our sensitive PR campaigns.

Jake will take on an important role supporting senior members of the team in delivering our client contracts.”

This all comes after Scala’s secured several prestigious award wins in 2023 for their work, including ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ at the Personal Injury Awards, and ‘Specialist PR Consultancy of the Year’ at the awarded Mark of Excellence International Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Awards. These awards recognised Scala’s ability to create PR and marketing campaigns that strike a chord and connect with people and policy makers.

Natalie Rodgers, a non-practising solicitor and Managing Director, founded Scala in 2009 and advises in some of the country’s most high-profile legal cases.
