Schedule it ‘cleans up’ at Marketing & Technology awards being crowned Company of the Year

Resource management and scheduling software company Schedule it is delighted to have won the Marketing & Technology Company of the Year category in the 2020 Technology & Marketing Awards for cleaning, hygiene and facilities management.

Organised by LaCerta, the awards were an opportunity for companies to showcase and share their success during a year dominated by the global pandemic. Cleaning companies faced huge challenges during the response to COVID-19, as many scrambled to keep up with demand and adopt new ways of working. Technology solutions, including scheduling and resource management software, helped cleaning companies to cope with changing demand, changing resources and changing responsibility in a complex and fluid work environment.

High-profile judges from the worldwide cleaning industry association ISSA, as well as top companies including Universal Pictures, Samsung and England Rugby, helped select the winners after considering factors like overall strategy, communication and creativity. Commenting on Schedule it’s winning entry, the judges said:

“With technology evolving in every industry, Schedule it recognised an opportunity through COVID to help cleaning companies who were struggling to cope with increases in demand (and changing work practices) and to successfully deliver technical solutions during an evolving crisis situation. They were able to market their services quickly and effectively. They have demonstrated an impressive growth on turnover and profit in 2020, with their best year yet, and 97% of users reporting that Schedule it has helped them schedule faster. In the cleaning industry, end users have been looking for digital solutions to optimise the cleaning process, as well as being more data driven.”

Mark Ballance, managing director of Wakefield-based Schedule it said: “We are delighted to win this award which recognises our work to help cleaning companies cope during coronavirus. The global pandemic has affected so many companies in different ways. Cleaning companies were thrust to the forefront to play their part in keeping us all safe. Our software helped them to organise their workforce and work remotely, giving task lists for staff to follow/do, reorganising planned work and scheduling in new or different types of work, as restrictions were changed and new requirements are created.”

Schedule it provides resource management software that enables companies around the world including many Fortune Global 500 companies to reduce costs and save time. The firm was recognised earlier this year in the UK Northern Tech Awards 2020, presented by GP Bullhound, as a finalist in the ‘Top 100 fastest growing technology companies’ category.
