Solutionize Global pledges to raise funds to refurbish two parents’ rooms for CHSF

Technology solutions and services provider, Solutionize Global, has named Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) as its charity partner of the year for 2021, pledging to raise £9,000 to refurbish two overnight rooms as part of its upcoming undertaking: The Parent Rooms Project.

The partnership comes at a pivotal time for the charity — which supports families through treatment and recovery during a child’s heart surgery — as the economic challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic mean that business support is vital.

The Parent Rooms Project aims to refurbish the accommodation available to parents within the Brotherton Wing at Leeds Children’s Hospital — providing a comfortable bed and a modern, bright, and cheerful environment during an extremely difficult period. Through this provision and many others, CHSF looks to reduce the repercussions of health inequality for families with children affected by congenital heart disease.

Solutionize Global was made aware of the charity’s efforts through a close contact, and has committed to supporting the fellow Yorkshire-based organisation as part of its belief in giving back to the community, especially during times of rapid growth.

Sharon Milner, CEO at CHSF, commented: “Support from a business such as Solutionize Global makes a huge difference. Having met the company’s staff, we understand their drivers and feel our values are very much aligned.

“Their commitment to our cause shines through and we believe we will have a fantastic partnership. And as a regional business, the team will naturally understand the diverse range of our people and communities.”

Rachel McElroy, chief communication and engagement Officer at Solutionize Global, added: “As a business born in Yorkshire, and built from scratch, we are driven by a passion to give back to our community. We want to make a positive difference to others – this is not only something that we hold dear, but is more important now than ever before.”

“Our team is excited and ready to rise to the challenge of supporting CHSF as much as we can throughout 2021.”

Solutionize Global are set to announce a series of fundraising activities to meet its goal, and is already on track after taking part in Wear Red Day on Friday 5th February, generating £131 including Gift Aid so far in staff donations.
