The Marketing Optimist makes key social media hire following substantial growth

Hristina Tsolva, newly appointed Social Media Account Manager at The Marketing Optimist

Leeds-based digital marketing agency, The Marketing Optimist has announced the appointment of Hristina Tsolova as their new Social Media Account Manager.

Hristina joins the team during a period of fast growth for the agency, following a flurry of client wins over the last year. She brings an extensive range of social media experience to her new role, after working in various sectors and large organisations including Jet2, the University of Leeds, and most recently the public sector procurement organisation YPO.

Commenting on her new role, Hristina Tsolva shared: “I’m delighted to be joining The Marketing Optimist and working on some exciting social media projects for their growing portfolio of clients. It’s a fantastic team to be a part of and I can’t wait to develop and bring some creative campaigns to life.”

Richard Michie, CEO of The Marketing Optimist added: “I’m really excited that Hristina has joined our growing team at The Marketing Optimist. She’s a highly experienced and talented social media specialist, with a diverse background, bringing a whole wealth of experience in B2B and B2C social media strategy, which is going to be very valuable to us and our clients.

“In just a couple of weeks, Hristina has impressed our team and clients with her enthusiasm and hands-on approach. She brings to the table some amazing, creative, data-backed ideas and she’s already begun forming unique and comprehensive campaigns that we are sure will deliver impactful results for clients.”

Splitting her time between the UK and Bulgaria, Hristina’s appointment also highlights a key change to the agency’s working model for current and future employees, as the agency switched to a flexible and fully remote/hybrid option for all team members temporarily during the pandemic. The agency now has no plans to go back to the office full-time after seeing a surge in team productivity and morale since the switch.

Richard Michie added: “Hristina’s appointment is also exciting for the business as she is highlighting the possibilities that our remote/flexible working policies enable as she will be spending her time both in the UK and her home country of Bulgaria.

“As an agency, although we predominantly work with regional and UK-based clients, we have worked with international clients and as Hristina is multi-lingual, impressively speaking Bulgarian, English, Spanish and French, this may be an advantage when working on any future cross-border projects”
