Leeds-based Lily Comms recognised as one of the UK’s best companies to work for

The Lily Comms team celebrating their achievement

A Leeds firm has been recognised as a world-class company to work for in the Best Companies Q3 rankings list after demonstrating world-class levels of employee engagement.

Lily Comms, an award-winning provider of Digital Transformation solutions for business communication, voice, data and IT, achieved the standard of excellence based on the results of a b-heard employee survey. The in-depth survey assesses employee engagement through questions on leadership, well-being, and personal growth.

The company ranked 1st among UK Telecoms companies, 12th in the Yorkshire & Humber and 29th for the best mid-sized companies to work for nationally.

The Best Companies accreditation programme is the standard of workplace engagement in the UK, recognising organisations and managers who genuinely value and respect their employees.

Employees at Lily Comms celebrated their remarkable achievement by throwing a ‘Best Companies Day’ in the office with branded decorations, dress-up and a team lunch. The team were also invited to participate in the Best Companies Livestream for the ‘sector stand out’ section, where they were interviewed by former BBC journalist, Dan Walker.
Chris Morrisey, managing director of Lily Comms said “We are delighted to be recognised in such a competitive list; it is such a great achievement. We couldn’t be prouder – thanks to the team for their continued contribution.

“We currently have six vacancies advertised on our careers page, and we’re confident that earning our place on these Best Companies league tables will help us attract and retain some of West Yorkshire’s best talent.”

Lily Comms currently has 83 employees and based on their feedback, has increased holiday pay, improved maternity and paternity packages, improved sick pay, and facilitated extra parking and a shuttle bus from the station to the office for commuters. The company also offers volunteering days and has recently extended lunch breaks for all employees.

Staff who best demonstrate the company’s values of “passion, performance and integrity” have the chance to spin the wheel of fortune and win up to £500 each month. The digital transformation specialist gives those who have received the most votes from colleagues a prize at monthly meetings as part of its employee incentive programme.

At the end of the year, the top ten employees with the highest cumulative votes win a place on a trip of a lifetime.

The company has invested heavily in staff development and has an in-house performance training academy. Regular sessions help people to develop core skills, including time management to reduce stress, problem-solving, confidence-building, teamwork, and customer service.
