Manufacturing award is recognition of family legacy at Dominion Print

Bradford-based printer, Dominion Print, celebrated recognition of its manufacturing heritage with an award at The Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards.

The company, which was founded by Dominic Clark in 1983, won in the Manufacturing category at a ceremony held at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate as business owners, entrepreneurs, industry experts and leaders gathered to recognise the achievements of the region’s most innovative and successful family businesses. Dominic passed away in early 2023 but Dominion Print remains family-owned with Dominic’s wife, Elaine, and daughter, Verity Fox, taking over the reins.

Organised by The Family Business Community, The Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards were presented by food writer, broadcaster, and proud northerner Nigel Barden along with co-founders of the Family Business Community, Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth.

Verity Fox, Managing Director at Dominion Print, said:

“What an incredible night celebrating The Family Business Community Yorkshire & Humber Awards. It was amazing to see all the finalists and to cheer on all our fellow winners! Winning this Manufacturing category means a huge amount and we take great pride in still being family-owned, especially in a world where huge corporations are sweeping the market. Knowing we are carrying on Dad’s legacy just means the world to us all.”

Elaine Clark, Director at Dominion Print, said:

“This year has been difficult for the family, but we are delighted to end it on a high with this award, which is given to the manufacturer that best demonstrates success against a broad range of measures and a sustained commitment to total quality management. It is a much-appreciated recognition for our magnificent team here at Dominion, whose hard work and dedication means we all continue to succeed – a huge thank you to you all. “

Dave Clarkson and Sue Howorth expressed their delight at the success of the event:

“We always want to create an unforgettable experience for all attendees, and bringing the awards to Harrogate this year, added an extra layer of magic to the occasion. The turnout was our largest to date and felt a fantastic energy in the room which was incredible. We’re so grateful for everyone who came out to support the awards and recognise the hard work and dedication of our Yorkshire and Humberside family businesses. It was truly an unforgettable night for everyone in the room!”
